Inter-provincial travel restrictions removed

Inter-provincial travel restrictions were lifted at 04.00 this morning.

Accordingly, bus and train services will be operated between the provinces.

The National Transport Commission stated that steps have been taken to operate special bus services for office workers coming to Colombo from various parts of the country.

Meanwhile, train services between the provinces will be operational from tomorrow.

However, Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena stated that steps have been taken to remove travel restrictions between provinces and not to go on excursions.
