Landslide warning issued for many areas

The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued landslide warnings for several Divisional Secretariats in several districts.

Accordingly, the areas where alert notices have been issued under Phase 2 are as follows.

Warnings have been issued to the Ingiriya Divisional Secretariat in the Kalutara District, the Ududumbara Divisional Secretariat in the Kandy District and the Ambanganga Korale Divisional Secretariat in the Matale District.

Meanwhile, warnings have been issued for the Rideegama and Mawathagama Divisional Secretariats in the Kurunegala District and the Ayagama and Eheliyagoda Divisional Secretariats in the Ratnapura District.

Also, the Divisional Secretariats which have issued vigilance notices under Phase 1 are as follows.

Padukka and Seethawaka Divisional Secretariats in the Colombo District, Palindanuwara, Bulathsinhala and Agalawatta Divisional Secretariats in the Kalutara District and Doluwa, Pathahewaheta, Poojapitiya, Pathadumbara, Ganga Ihala Korale and Medadumbara Divisional Secretariats in the Kandy District.

Warning notices have been issued for Rambukkana and Mawanella in the Kegalle District as well as for the Ratnapura, Kuruwita and Kiriella Divisional Secretariats in the Ratnapura District and for the Alawwa and Narammala Divisional Secretariats in the Kurunegala District.

The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued warnings to Matale, Rattota, Ukuwela and Laggala Pallegama Divisional Secretariats in the Matale District and to the Ambagamuwa, Hanguranketha, Walapane, Nuwara Eliya and Kotmale Divisional Secretariats in the Nuwara Eliya District under Phase 1.
