A discussion has been held to get more employment opportunities for Sri Lankan’s in Japan.

Discussions focused on obtaining more employment opportunities for Sri Lankans in Japan under the Specialized Skills Employment Program and the Technical In-Service Training Program in accordance with the agreements signed between Japan and Sri Lanka.
Sri Lankans are in high demand for their nursing careers in Japan.
The two sides also exchanged views on preparing a group of qualified Sri Lankan workers this year to meet that demand.
The Japanese delegation also informed that there are more job opportunities in the food, service and industry and that the website of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, Facebook and zoom technology are being used to create awareness about this.
Accordingly, discussions were held at length on the conduct of the examination for specialized personnel, the activities that the Ministry and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment hope to implement in the future, and the process of conducting the Japanese language teaching process.
The discussion was held at the State Ministry of Foreign Employment Promotion and Market Diversification in Narahenpita.
The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) said the meeting was aimed at further strengthening diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Japan.
