Shooting of an ambulance driver: Main suspect arrested

Police have arrested the main suspect in the attempted murder of an ambulance driver.

The Police Media Spokesman’s Office stated that the suspect has been arrested by the Panadura South Police Station in connection with the shooting of an ambulance driver in front of the Panadura Base Hospital on the 27th.

The suspect was arrested last night (08) and is a 32 year old resident of Kuruppumulla, Panadura.

The police further stated that the investigating officers are taking steps to obtain a detention order from the Panadura Magistrate’s Court for further investigations regarding the suspect.
