The present government is ready to give due place to the public servant in this country

Shehan Semasinghe, Minister of State for Samurdhi, Home Economic Micro Finance, Self Employment and Business Development states that the present government has faith in the public servant of this country and that the present government has recruited some people including graduates to the public service even during difficult times.
The Minister of State said that the people are urged not to fall prey to misinformation being spread in the country by various parties and that the present government is ready to give due prominence to the public servant in the country despite the restrictions imposed on the economic management of the country.
The Minister said this at a ceremony held today (23) at the Samurdhi State Ministry Auditorium under the patronage of the Minister to induct 76 Counseling Assistants to the post of Psychological Counselor.
The Minister of State further stated that this absorption given after 15 years has enabled the Counseling Assistants to be given the dignity of the profession and through this an environment has been created where a formal counseling service can be provided to the public.
Mr. Neil Bandara Hapuhinna, Secretary to the State Ministry of Samurdhi, Additional Secretaries Mrs. Nalika Piyasena and Mrs. Hema Perera, Mrs. KGR Priyadarshana, Director of the Counseling Division and many other officials were present on this occasion.
