Special Operation in the Western Province – 1,156 arrested

The Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province states that 531 persons who evaded court were arrested during a special operation carried out in the Western Province yesterday.

These operations were carried out yesterday (02) from 6 am to 6 pm.

54 persons involved in various crimes have also been arrested.

In addition 491 persons were arrested for corruption offenses.

Accordingly, the total number of suspects arrested during the operation carried out yesterday was 1,156.
