Another 400 test positive for COVID-19 today

Another 400 individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 today.

Accordingly, 2,131 individuals tested positive for the coronavirus thus far today.

2,098 persons among the group were identified as contacts of the New Year cluster while 33 individuals were identified as recent arrivals from overseas.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka’s total coronavirus caseload increases to 241,820.

5,898 individuals who recovered from the coronavirus were earlier discharged; the group included prisoners who were discharged over several weeks as well.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka’s coronavirus recoveries rose to 207,287.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 31,952 individuals are currently being treated for the virus at facilities across the country.
