Minister Namal decides to call only essential employees

Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa says that it has been decided to call in only the essential officials of the Ministry of Sports to curb the cost of transport and electricity.

Accordingly, the Secretary to the Ministry of Sports has been instructed to seek the approval of the Public Administration Division for this decision, the Minister said in a note posted on his official Facebook account.

The statement is below.

I have instructed the Sec of Ministry of Youth and Sports to seek approval of the Sec of Public Administration to bring in to work only the essential officers of the ministry in a bid to curb the transport & electricity expenditure. The rest may work from home if required.
