Deputy Speaker resigns

Deputy Speaker Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has resigned.

He has informed this in a letter to the President.

Accordingly, he has informed that he has decided to resign from the post of Deputy Speaker as per the decision of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party to function as an independent group in Parliament.
