Galle Road is completely blocked near the Galle Face – Photos

Our correspondents say that the Galle Face Road near the Presidential Secretariat is now completely blocked.

Due to the ongoing protest by a large number of people near the Galle Face Green against the President and the government.

People have been protesting on both sides of the road near the Galle Face Green in Colombo since this morning (09) demanding the immediate departure of the President and the government in the face of the problematic situation in the country.

The protest has been dubbed as the Non – Partisan People’s Struggle by people representing various sectors including the youth.

A special feature of the rally was the trumpeting of vehicles on the road before the road was completely blocked.

A group of university students are currently on their way to Colombo from Wijerama Junction along the High Level Road to join the protesters at the Galle Face Green.
