Landslide warning issued for several districts

Landslide warnings have been issued for several districts due to the prevailing inclement weather.

The Disaster Management Center said that the warning was valid for Colombo, Kalutara, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Kandy, Matale, Nuwara Eliya and Badulla districts.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department states that further showers can be expected in many parts of the island.

The Meteorological Department stated that the turbulent nature of the lower atmosphere around the island could continue for a few more days.
