Saline of Sri Lanka is preparing to invade the European market

Sri Lanka’s first robotically operated saline manufacturing plant is preparing to invade the European market by obtaining the European quality certificate.

It is special that this factory established by the Sri Lanka Board of Investment located in Pallekele operates 24 hours a day entirely with robotic technology.

Built at a cost of 09 billion rupees, this saline factory has an annual production of 55 million bottles of saline. Currently, Sri Lanka’s annual saline requirement is 15 million bottles and the government is focusing on meeting the local requirement from that factory.

Currently, the products of this factory are being exported and the management has planned to obtain the European quality certificate for the factory in the hope of conquering the European market.
