The uncle’s life was beaten by his nephew

Galapitamada Police say that a person has died due to an attack by his son-in-law in Dunumala area.

The police said that a person in a house in the Dunumala area was attacked with a sharp weapon and died while being admitted to the Vatupitiyala hospital.

A 40-year-old resident of Dunumala area has died.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the deceased’s daughter’s husband came home drunk and was beaten to death with a sharp weapon due to a personal dispute with the deceased.

Police say that the suspect has fled the area and a magisterial and post-mortem investigation will be conducted.

Galapitamada police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspect.
