A revelation from Anura about the opposition who asked to postpone the vote

National People’s Force Leader Anura Dissanayake mentioned that President Ranil Wickramasinghe said in Parliament that the opposition parties had requested the postponement of the election to prevent the rise of the JVP.

If so, the President should reveal to the country who asked the opposition to postpone the election, he said, adding that a question arises as to who the President is to postpone the elections.

Mr. Dissanayake also mentioned that Mr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa had mentioned that Mr. Lakshman Kiriella had previously requested the postponement of the election in Parliament.

He expressed these views while addressing a rally organized by the National People’s Force.
