A letter from the Election Commission to the Speaker

The Election Commission has sent a letter to the Speaker asking him to intervene in obtaining the funds needed to hold the local government polls.

Its chairman lawyer Nimal G. Mr. Punchiheva said that this decision was taken at the Election Commission meeting yesterday.

Accordingly, he further mentioned that this letter was forwarded to the Speaker yesterday.
