The Colombo High Court has ordered the hearing of the case filed against Mrs. Thilini Priyamali, who is accused of misappropriating an amount of Rs.
The accused Thilini Priyamali appeared before the court today (28) when the case was called before Colombo High Court Judge Mr. Aditya Patabandige.
The lawyers representing Thilini Priyamali said that there is a possibility of settling this case by paying money.
But the aggrieved party’s lawyer mentioned that even though it was mentioned that the money will be paid today, that is not the case, so the date should be fixed for the hearing of the case.
Accordingly, the High Court judge who ordered the case to be heard on 05th and 07th of June has ordered the lawyers of both parties to inform the court on that day if there is a settlement.
The Attorney General has filed this case against Thilini Priyamali, alleging that in 2013, she obtained a vehicle from a person named Samith Anuruddha, a resident of Matara area, and misused an amount of 80 lakh rupees by giving a check from a closed account.
