So far, no information has been confirmed about the kidnapping of school students in Mannar

The Mannar police say that no information has been revealed in the investigations carried out so far to confirm the complaints received to the police that they tried to kidnap school students in the Mannar area.

On the 7th of last year, three school students had submitted complaints to the police that a group of people in a white van tried to kidnap them.

The police said that no such thing has been confirmed in the investigations carried out based on the complaints, and investigations are being conducted to reveal whether the complaints were submitted under the influence of any of the students.

Police Media Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Advocate Nihal Talduwa also commented on the incident and said that so far no information has been received to confirm the complaints regarding the kidnapping of school students in the Mannar area.

On the information that there is an attempt to abduct school students in Mannar district from a van, security has been tightened around schools in Mannar district for the past few days with the help of army and police.
